Hey guys, gamers and Yakuza fans! I’ve got some super exciting news for you all. Sega is making a new game in the Yakuza series, but this time it’s a little different. You know, more like a pirate game! That’s right, you’ll be playing as a Yakuza member turned pirate in Hawaii. It’s like a mix of Yakuza and pirates, and it sounds so cool!
In this new game, you’ll be trading the bright, busy streets of Tokyo for the sunny beaches of Hawaii. But don’t worry, it’s still got all the Yakuza action you love. The twist is that you’re a Yakuza pirate, so get ready to cut some ropes and maybe even find some treasure!
You might be thinking, “A Yakuza pirate game in Hawaii? That sounds too wild to be true!” But it is! They announced it in a video called “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii | Announce Trailer.” The video showed some really pretty island views, exciting sword fights, and even some familiar faces from the Yakuza series.
Oh, and did you know that the main character was supposed to be Kazuma Kiryu, the Yakuza hero we all love? In the early version, called “Like a Dragon: Tuna,” Kiryu was going to be a fisherman after his boat was attacked by pirates. But they changed it to a new main character. But at least we’ll still get to see some Yakuza-style fighting in a new place!
As for what you can expect, you’re going to get the same fun mix of action, exploring, and silly side missions that the Yakuza series is known for. Hawaii opens up some new possibilities, like naval battles, treasure hunts, and even surfing games! And of course, you’ll still get to sing karaoke and play arcade games, but with a tropical twist.
